Hands-on healing has been practiced throughout the history of mankind.  Anthropological studies show that primitive people used hands-on healing, herbs and the power of their own minds to create healing.  Much of that knowledge has been lost and rediscovered over time.  During the history of Western mankind, hands-on healing has taken on many aspects, from miraculous healings of the Bible to many simple, effective systems.  Since the industrial Revolutions, the modern mind has developed modern medicines, the atom bomb, cars, and planes, not to mention all of the computerized tools.  This has lead to leaving traditional healing ways in the background.  In recent years the rising costs of medical care and the increased stress of everyday life, along with our evolving consciousness, we are searching for alternative forms of healing and renewing our way of thinking.  Reiki is one of the ways, and hands-on healing may have a relevant role to play in our learning about the whole self (Sprit, mind, and body) and what this whole self can do.

Reiki is an easy and potent hands-on healing system.  It is also a sophisticated initiation system that uses healing mantras – sacred sounds and symbols – to unify the whole self and thus expand one’s healing powers.  Reiki is a key that opens the door to your hear and helps you heal your life.  Reiki is a journey to the heart and beyond, a gateway to the healing of suffering and pain, a path of deep joy and inner peace.  Reiki is a gift we give ourselves and allows us to connect more deeply with whom we are and to share this intimate part of ourselves with others in a loving way.  Through the treatments, self knowledge and self confidence are gained, revealing more of the mysteries of all elements.

Reiki is not a religion.  It is not affiliated with any religion.  It beholds no doctrines, creeds or contradictions to the Universal Laws of Consciousness and Love.  No matter where the person may be at a certain point in their life, Reiki will harmonize and embrace their philosophical counter point, adding to it the Divine Presence.

Once an individual is attuned to Reiki through initiations, they are permanently linked to the universal life force energy.  When coming from a place of unconditional love along with a strong intent, simply placing one’s hands on oneself, or another person, allows the energy to flow through the individual.  It fills the Reiki practitioner’s body first and then flows out through the practitioner’s hands into the individual who is receiving the healing.

Reiki energy comes from the God-Force and is an extremely powerful healing energy.  It is one of the few forms of healing that can be used to heal oneself.  Reiki does not conflict with other health-care, but enhances its results.  It does not interfere with traditional medical treatments, but facilitates benefits.  Reiki speeds the healing process, and provides a source of restoring energy while one is ill, under medical treatments, or in recovery.

The work reiki is a Japanese word for universal life energy. This universal life energy we all possess in full measure. It is the essence of us and of everything around us. It flows through our body and out our hands and feet, always, as long as we live. This reiki is the healing, life-giving energy that sustains and nourishes all living things. In some cultures it is referred to as chi or prana.  We all have this universal life energy reiki flowing though and from us, and anyone with a true intention and desire can do healing work without taking any attunements.  There are many wonderful healers working with different modalities, or without any system, who know how to tap into universal source. One does not need Reiki initiations to be a healer.

Now “Reiki” is an ancient art designed to increase your healing potential through specific teachings and attunements/initiations.  The Reiki  Master teaches you about, and attunes you to, a particular language of sounds and symbols – a vibrations and language that engage your higher mind.  Through the use of sounds and symbols, hands and breath, a Reiki Master attunes you more directly to that universal mind.  Your touch becomes more potent, and you become more deeply integrated in mind and body.  The Reiki Master initiates the novice into the sacred frequency of planetary healing energy and gives a method of treatments.
